Jonathan R. Gottlieb, M.D., and Paul “Brad” Segebarth, M.D., this month join the OrthoCarolina Spine Center for a yearlong medical fellowship in spine surgery.
During their fellowships, Gottlieb and Segebarth will augment their recently completed residency training with an additional year of in-depth spine specialty training under the guidance of OrthoCarolina’s seven board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeons.
“OrthoCarolina leads the Charlotte region in treating spinal deformities and complex cases,” said Bruce Darden II, M.D., fellowship director for the Spine Center. “In addition, our physicians are leaders in both volume of research and number of minimally invasive procedures performed each year.”
Gottlieb received his medical degree from the University of Miami’s School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Segebarth received his medical degree from the University of Kentucky’s College of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
The OrthoCarolina Spine Center’s physicians are members of some of the most elite peer-elected professional societies in the world, including the Cervical Spine Research Society and Scoliosis Research Society.
