Directions

MOREHEAD MEDICAL PLAZA is located on the edge of the Carolinas Medical Center - UPTOWN hospital campus, facing and most easily accessed from Morehead Street.  

Be careful not to confuse MOREHEAD MEDICAL PLAZA (MMP) with MEDICAL CENTER PLAZA (MCP) which is a separate building on the hospital campus that houses the OrthoCarolina Foot & Ankle Institute.

• From I-85, take I-77 SOUTH to the JOHN BELK FREEWAY (I-277)
• Take EXIT 9B and follow the "Trauma" signs to KENILWORTH AVENUE (follow detour signs during construction if necessary)
• Continue on KENILWORTH AVENUE and turn LEFT on EAST MOREHEAD STREET
• Turn RIGHT on HARDING PLACE, and take an immediate RIGHT into the driveway/patient drop off for the MOREHEAD MEDICAL PLAZA building
• Continue past the front door and straight through the stop sign into the "Visitor Parking" Parking Deck (park on the THIRD floor of the deck if possible)
• Access the SKY BRIDGE from the THIRD floor of the parking deck and walk across the bridge from the parking deck to MOREHEAD MEDICAL PLAZA
• OrthoCarolina is on the THIRD floor of MOREHEAD MEDICAL PLAZA with an entrance by the elevators
