After completing fellowship training in sports medicine at the University of Oklahoma in 1996, Dr. Dockery joined Miller Orthopaedic Clinic (now OrthoCarolina) to lead the University office at our University Medical Center, where he currently serves as chief of orthopedics. Upon graduation from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he returned to his native Florida to complete medical school, internship and residency at the University of Florida, where he served as administrative chief resident from 1994 to 1995.
Dr. Dockery maintains a keen interest in sports medicine, serving as a team physician for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNC Charlotte) and Johnson C. Smith University, as well as Northside Christian Academy and Victory Christian School. His particular areas of interest include ACL reconstruction and arthroscopic shoulder surgery.
A member of the National Eagle Scout Association, Dr. Dockery enjoys spending time with his family in a variety of outdoor sports, including waterskiing, boating, camping and hiking.
